Proposed constitution
The Wellington County Historical Society will be considering and voting upon an updated constitution at the annual general meeting on Monday June 17, 2024 at 7 pm, Aboyne Hall, WCMA. Members of the Society are invited to download and read the proposed constitution (PDF) prior to the meeting.
Walking tour of Clifford
On Sunday, September 24, 2023 the Wellington County Historical Society hosted a walking tour of Clifford. Located in Minto Township, which was the last to be opened in Wellington County, the town of Clifford was designated as lots 59 and 60 of Concessions C and D. Crown Lands were sold in 1854 with a hotel and post office opening in 1856. Tour leader Mark MacKenzie showcased about 15 places within a 2 block radius of the main street.
The great weather saw a large crowd gather at the Clifford Rotary Celebration Square for the September walking tour.

The tour included a look into several old stores in the main business area.
